Dan Heck – Earshot Jazz
Dan Heck is a jazz guitarist/bassist and composer currently living and working in Naples, Florida. Dan was born in Philadelphia and grew up in eastern Long Island, NY. With two very musical parents, he was encouraged to pursue music at an early age, starting on cello at age 4. He was playing in bands by the third grade on bass and was playing jobs around Long Island on guitar in his early teens. Dan is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has been a professional musician for over 20 years in Boston, New York, Paris, and Seattle. He has extensive performing experience in the U.S and throughout Europe and has performed at many prestigious venues around the world, including the Blue Note in New York and the Space Needle in Seattle. He can be heard on dozens of recordings as both a sideman and a leader and is a co-founder of the award-winning Seattle jazz ensemble, Bebop and Destruction.
Dan’s playing is best described as “modern jazz” with a heavy “bop” influence.
